Lili's Trip to the Dentist
- by Sharen K. age 9
“Lili, it’s time to go to the dentist!” my mom, Fifi, called as I was eating chocolate candy. Oh no, the last time I went to the dentist, Arebella said that I had to get a crown on my tooth. As a result, I stopped eating candy. I also looked at how much sugar was in each piece of candy. This piece had 100 grams! I felt faint. But I couldn’t disobey my mom. I slowly dragged myself into in the car. My teeth were chattering and my heart was pounding sonic fast.
After we arrived at the dentist office, I patiently waited on a tooth shaped, fluffy chair, which was really itchy. Then the dental assistant, Zizi, called my name. I slowly tiptoed into the seat. Next, she saw a large, vicious, blue germ. Next, she brushed and flossed my teeth with special tools.
Then Arebella, the dentist, looked in my mouth with a mirror. First, she gave me numbing medicine. Next, Arebella got the glue ready while Zizi carefully put on my crown. Last, Arebella used a tool to put the crown in firmly.
When it was all done, I got to choose a prize from the prize box. I couldn’t decide between a blue bear or a bear coloring book. Finally, I choose the blue bear. I guess it wasn’t so bad after all.
